The Firecracker Four is one of the longest running 4th of July run events and is a popular mid-summer event. This race is held in Hales Corners Park and is known for great crowd support and a large open finish area to mingle with about 1,000 others enjoying food and beverages.

Description: The Bear Trax and Brownie Shuffle was started in 2009 as a way to honor a dear friend, Nancy Sellars, who was killed by a drunk driver while riding her bike. The race not only brought people to the trails she loved at Lapham Peak, but also raised money for a fund established in her name. This year, the fund will establish scholarships for local high school seniors who demonstrate passion and prowess for both academics and silent sports (running, cycling, triathlon, nordic skiing, snowshoeing and more).
